TITLE: Inspector
REPORTS TO: Asset Management Supervisor
DIRECT REPORTS: None

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBLITIES
The Asset Management Inspector is responsible for of the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority’s owned and operated assets.
NORA’s assets include land, property and facilities owned and controlled by the agency.
The inspector position also includes the ability to evaluate and access the structural integrity of properties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Conducting physical inspections of properties on a scheduled basis.
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
Monitoring maintenance of NORA Headquarters.
Commercial development project monitoring/inspections.
Property complaint response inspections.
Monitoring AHPP (Affordable Housing Pilot Program) – Lease Purchase Program inspections.
Monitoring AHPP (rental units) inspections.
Ensuring duties performed are in accordance with compliance/guidelines as prescribed Housing Quality Standards and minimum City of New Orleans Building and Health Code regulations.
Conducting inspection of properties for compliance of physical requirements of purchase agreements, building standards, and construction management inspections for properties under development.
Reviewing of invoices and property photos, managing the uploading of documents into LAMA, and processing payment requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in administration, organizational management, contract compliance or related field.
Experience:
At least three years’ experience in one of the fields listed above.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in and/or possess the following skills:
Strong presentation skills and customer service skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with vendors.
Detail-oriented and well-organized
Basic to intermediate photography skills
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
Demonstrated ability to respect and maintain confidentiality whether written or verbal
High standards of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness
Excellent time management skills
Fluent in Microsoft Office and experience with web-based workflow and land management software, like The Davenport Group’s LAMA (Land Management)
