Job Description:
The ISSO shall maintain the appropriate operational security posture for all Guardian subordinate systems by implementing and enforcing all applicable security controls on all systems and system users.
Prior experience with Peace Corp or Government required.
Job Responsibilities:
The ISSO is responsible for developing and managing the Information System Security Plan, which is a formal document that provides an overview of the security requirements for an information system, and describes the security controls in place or planned for meeting those requirements.
The ISSO participates in weekly project status meetings.
Qualifications / Skills:
The ISSO shall have a minimum of four years of progressive experience analyzing information technology security threats, developing and implementing information system security plans, working within a risk management framework, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending and applying remediation strategies, preferably on behalf of Federal clients in support of compliance with the requirements of FISMA.
The ISSO must hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or equivalent cybersecurity certification (CISA, CompTIA Security +).
The ISSO shall also demonstrate experience managing security programs of similar size and scope to the Peace Corps project.
