You must currently be working for a customs broker in the Atlanta area or have recently worked for one to be considered for this position. A to Z handling of importer accounts from entry writing to final mile delivery. Knowledge of steamship lines, airlines, and truck lines a must. General cargo. Experienced on ACE with knowledge of Cargowise software a plus. Some awareness of classifying a plus although there is a licensed broker in the office to make the final determination.
Job Requirements:
- Coordinate logistics for inland transportation
- Performing logistics duties including international shipping by ocean and air.
- Preparing shipping documents for domestic shipments
- Maintain logistics profiles on all customers/importers
- Enter receiving reports into accounting and inventory system
- Determine needs for timely delivery of freight.
- Executing established operational processes and procedures with logistics
