BAE SYSTEMS
The candidate will provide direct support to GEOINT analysts engaged in in-depth GEOINT production, research, and ad-hoc projects using multiple computer databases and special source libraries.
Utilize GIS tools to perform data mining and research, and to assess, integrate, manipulate, exploit, extract, and analyze digital imagery, geospatial databases, and various sources.
Use remote sensing, spatial analysis, and GIS tools along with research skills to construct geospatial intelligence databases.
Generate required documents and visual aids.
Work on projects that range from local studies to regional trends, across a range of geographical scales and times.
Demonstrated participation in and/or directing the activities of highly skilled technical and analytical teams responsible for developing solutions to highly complex analytical/intelligence problems.
Must possess knowledge and experience with digital cartography, computer technology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), cartographic and geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and digital data formats.
Be a self –starter, be able to work alone, yet be able to share information with team members and customer in a timely manner.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in Human Geography Analysis.
Experience with standard geospatial analysis software suites used by NGA to accomplish its mission.
Including but not limited to, ERDAS IMAGINE, ArcMap, ArcView, FalconView, and Socet Set.
Expertise in GIS applications such as ArcGIS, Google Earth, and Microsoft Virtual Earth.
Expert knowledge/experience in the development of the International Program for Human Geography (IPHG) to include the line of effort, governance, standards, production methodologies, architecture, training, international socialization and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Expert knowledge and experience in developing working relationships with key international groups/partners and individuals on Human Geography concepts.
Expert knowledge of established international relationships in order to conduct and coordinate interim periodic reviews with international human geography members and mission partners.
Expert knowledge on HG international data model development concepts in relation to the international Defence Geospatial Information Working Group (DGIWG) Vector Model Schema Team (VMST) HG data model.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated experience working with foreign partners in an international setting.
Experience with NGA specified digital data formats will be used including but not limited to, vector data, shapefile and spatial database, GML, and XML.
Knowledge of Intelink database.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience establishing cross-organizational/external working groups.
