HRIS APPLICATION ANALYST
 
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a HRIS Application Analyst for a contract position in Lake Elmo, MN. Opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • The HRIS Application Analyst has the responsibility for support, maintenance and development of the technologies utilized by the functional areas of Human Resources.
  • This position serves as a point-of-contact for functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
  • This position partners with the IT Teams, Product Owners, End Users and external resources to prepare stories for HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other planned changes.
  • Table Set up and Maintenance: responsible for table set up and maintenance; system issues or fixes;  integration of testing processes through to production; coordination and communication of changes with IT, Product Owners, End Users or external resources.
  • Production: support functional areas day-to-day questions. Knowledge of the various functional processes as it relates to system requirements. Work with Product Owners or End Users to establish production standards and goals. Log application issues with Oracle; coordinate third party interfaces or system changes. Coordinate the documentation of system processes and procedures.
  • Reporting: responsible for report generation or the coordination of report development. Maintain report generation standards and goals. 
  • Project Management: work closely with Product Owners to establish plans, determine adequate resources and budget. Follow Agile methodologies and monitor the status, establish the tasks, coordinate and participate in testing processes, execute the testing plan. Network for solutions by attending PS User Group sessions and other networking opportunities such as Upper Midwest User Group.
  • Communication: assist in the development of communication plans for all modules. Establish ongoing updates  to the End Users, Product Owners. Create a method to communicate tips to simplify processes for End Users. Point of contact for IT regarding system changes.
  • Training: provide training to HR End Users regarding changes. Coordinate training resources, demonstrations, site visits. Attend training sessions regarding applications.
  • System Security and Access: assist with the maintenance of system roles and permission access.  Establish  and maintain access according to compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Bremer’s risk management approach including compliance with all applicable industry regulations, state and federal regulations, Bremer’s policies and procedures, and completion of all required training which supports compliance throughout
  • Minimize fraud related losses by maintaining constant awareness and reacting promptly to suspicious activity and deceptive practices; follow established company guidelines for identification and reaction to suspicious activity and fraud

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and ability to develop solutions to technology-related business problems/opportunities
  • Prior experience in ERP Application maintenance and/or development – Preferably in HR system. Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPointStrong written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires a high degree of analytical skills. Excellent problem solving, customer orientation, communication  skills are essential.
  •  A combination of education and experience generally attained through a BA in Business, Management or Information Technology and a minimum of 7 years of experience in an application analyst role.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to present a professional image and demeanor to internal and external customers
  • Interact constructively and effectively with all constituencies and work collaboratively toward a common goal
  • Communicate effectively with clients and groups of employees in order to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Ability to effectively present information and response to questions from groups of employees, managers, and/or customers
  • Multi-task and maintain an optimistic outlook in a fast-paced work environment
  • Accept and implement changes with processes, people, and circumstances exhibiting a positive approach to each situation
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers and personalize interactions
  • Interpret and carry out objectives furnished in written or oral form and a demonstrated commitment to act within industry standards
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure guidelines and manuals
  • Operate standard office equipment.
