This specific role will be responsible for all aspects of COVID-19 intake, contact tracing and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Work in partnership with leaders and associates to support COVID related matters in the workplace, ensuring that all employment laws and policies are adhered to and while maintaining firm culture.
Conduct confidential investigations into complex and sensitive allegations of misconduct regarding employment law and firm policy violations in a thorough, diligent and unbiased manner to protect the interests of the firm and its associates.
Provide coaching and counseling to associates to ensure understanding and compliance with employment laws and workplace policies.
Prepare documentation of associate situations in a legally appropriate manner.
Work with associates to provide support and assistance during times of personal challenge.
Requirements & Qualifications:
BS/BA or MS/MBA with Human Resources emphasis or equivalent HR experience preferred 5+ years’ experience in an increasingly responsible leadership or HR position (with at least 2 years directly involved in associate relations).
The ability to speak and write in a clear, concise and impartial manner when: Interviewing associates and witnesses to gather facts regarding a case Conducting complex presentations during HR investigations Communicating disciplinary action to associates Participating in unemployment hearings Responding to inquiries from internal and external legal counsel.
Strong critical thinking skills to problem-solve complicated employment issues.
The ability to interpret and enforce firm policies and employment laws.
The skills necessary to navigate the firm’s computer systems.
Experience dealing with COVID employee relations preferred
Additional Considerations: This position is advanced by an in-depth knowledge of employment law.
Compensation
$22-28.00/hr, depending on experience Medical, Dental, Vision, eligible 1st of the month following first 60 days Full remote eligible for the duration of the assignment Company provided laptop
