SUMMARY
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks relating to Human Resources including, but not limited to, processing of bi-weekly payroll, administration of employee benefits, assisting in the hiring of new employees, and ensuring compliance of the policies and procedures pertinent to Human Resources as set forth by the Company and state or federal regulation or law.
DUTIES
- Processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis. ( Paylocity)
- Monitor hours, makes changes to and update employment activity in the time and attendance and payroll systems to include inputting punch edits.
- Produce time clock reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
- Input new employees into the timekeeping system and payroll database.
- Enters all deductions into payroll for benefit elections, etc.
- Process garnishments with payroll.
- Assist employees in completion of benefit package paperwork and execute enrollment and/or termination of benefit plans.
- Establish and maintain personnel files for all employees in accordance with current policies on content and confidentiality.
- Provide all necessary payroll documentation to process all claims for Unemployment Compensation benefits.
- Inform staff of changes in payroll policies.
- Respond to employment requests/questions from employees.
- Verify employment as requested.
- Knowledge of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility.
- Demonstrate respect for co-workers.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
- Ability to carry out the essential functions of the job (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Assure participation in relevant in-service training sessions.
- Attend and participate in facility meetings, including those related to Infection Control/Safety/Quality Improvement if requested and/or assigned.
- Participate in survey process.
- Assist Human Resources Manager and/or Director as needed.
- Attend continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions such as: word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and standards of other regulatory agencies pertaining to Human Resources.
- Must demonstrate ability to perform basic math skills accurately.
- Should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or demonstrate an equivalence of experience.
- Should have a minimum of three (3) years related experience.
- Payroll experience ( Paylocity experience is a plus)
- Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times.
