HR Coordinator

Gaston Electrical Co., Inc.

This is a Contract position in Norwood, MA posted November 23, 2021.

Position OverviewThis role supports the HR department in providing strong administrative support on all HR related projects and activities as needed, including but not limited to new hire administration, first day and onboarding coordination, database maintenance, recruiting coordination, employee relations support, maintenance of employee records to ensure compliance with all state/federal laws, and coordinating and tracking and training programs. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of new and ongoing projects and activities supporting employees across the company.ResponsibilitiesConduct Orientation and coordinate first day and new hire activitiesCoordinate offboarding activities including preparation of exit packets and final day processingWork with payroll to ensure all employee status changes are processedAssist with recruiting activities including: job posting, scheduling interviews, phone screens as neededAssist with company-wide training activities including coordinating, monitoring, tracking and following up as neededAssist Field Outside Superintendents with database management and employee trackingMaintain employee files and compliance documentationProcess all HR transactions and keep information up-to-date in HRISEnroll employees in benefit programs and notify Local 103 about employee changesAssist and coordinate employee-related events such as outings, lunches; work with Marketing for event promotionProcess background checks as required; assist in employment verifications as neededAssist with reporting and tracking important employee dataDevelop and send out employee communicationsQualifications2-3+ years of human resources administration experience a mustBS/BA degree preferredAbility to prioritize and stay organized with deliverablesStrong communication skills with ability to interface across all levelsEnergetic, can-do attitude; ability to work both independently and within teamsAttention to detail is a must.Proactive nature to anticipate needs before they happen; take action quicklyPrevious HRIS experience required (Paylocity)Gaston Electrical is an equal opportunity employer.Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: From $25.00 per hourSchedule:Day shiftEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:HR: 2 years (Required)Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:NoWork Location: One location
