Examples of how you will help us grow the organization:
Onboarding/off-boarding process for employees which includes new hire orientation, manager communication, preparing new hire meeting agendas, background checks, data entry into key systems, etc.
Conduct new hire follow up meetings, collect data and provide feedback to managers and senior leaders
Facilitating employee and manager training.
Advise managers on employee relations, review/draft performance improvement plans, and execute terminations as necessary.
Administer and track all FMLA and STD claims for employees going out on leave.
Participating in the development, design and implementation of retention strategies and programs.
Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention.
Creating and auditing job descriptions, research compensation data, and make recommendations to the hiring manager in order to align with our internal structure.
Main contact for recruiting support and local site lead for all interview schedules.
Leading key HR initiatives and rollout new programs to assigned office locations.
Collaborating with colleagues on the HR team to develop improved policies, programs, and solutions.
Interpreting data trends and metrics to inform business decisions.
Draft and distribute employee communications as necessary, i.e.
new hires, engagement events, training initiatives, etc.
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements.
Minimum Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent field of study
3-5 years meaningful experience in a Human Resources
Other Required
Exceptional organizational, customer service, interpersonal communication skills with the flexibility to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment and the ability to actively participate and sometimes lead cross functional teams.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations and profieceny in California Labor Laws
Proven knowledge in all areas of HR to include but not be limited to, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations and compliance
Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
Must possess a valid driver’s license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive in
Able to travel both domestically including overnight stays
Must be able to read, write, speak, fluently and comprehend the English language
Preferred
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
Experience supporting organizations of 100 – 500 employees within a decentralized or matrix style structure
Previous experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry
Experience working with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRMS system
Supported remote / work-from-home employees across varied time zones
