Die Welder (21001602)DescriptionHowmet Cleveland Operations, an aerospace forging facility located at 1600 Harvard Ave., is seeking qualified candidates for its Die Welder position.
The Die Welder role is an hourly position represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM) bargaining unit (union).The primary purpose of this role is to repair dies using Mig, Tig, and stick welding.
The Die Welder also uses a Carbon Arc welder, operates a crane, and uses a pneumatic chipping hammer.
This position requires the ability to read blueprints and interpret sketches, and the ability to use basic measuring tools.Candidates must be able to work any shift and all days of the week, as there is mandatory overtime, and shift assignment is determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.QualificationsMust have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institutionMinimum of 1 year of welding experienceThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S.
