Control Risks
The project operations function provides internal, administrative and operational support to Control Risks consultancy service delivery teams and project managers.
Specifically, the swift and accurate administration of project data, invoicing and the appropriate use of systems and processes.
The head of client project operations is responsible for leading the function across the Americas region.
The individual will provide leadership and guidance to their team and implement change initiatives to support group and regional development strategies.
* Operate as a regional business leader and member of the functions senior management team, contributing to the overall vision and strategy of the function.
* Develop and maintain a high performing team, ensuring core responsibilities are met to an excellent standard, in adherence to internal policies, procedures and key performance indicators.
Tasks and responsibilities
Team leadership
* Lead your team to deliver high-quality operational support to the business, ensuring they are trained, structured, and resourced to meet the needs of your internal and external customers.
* Implement ways of working to enable a high performing team thats flexible, agile and can respond and adapt to changing situations
* Act as a role model, ensuring your team uphold the goals and working principles of the function whilst delivering to the Control Risks standards of behaviours and competencies.
* Set performance objectives and perform interim and annual reviews providing continuous feedback on performance
Strategy implementation
* Contribute to the design and development of a global CPA function enabling a standardised approach to project administration at Control Risks.
* Collaborate to identify opportunities to reduce the admin burden to our project managers and service delivery teams.
* Lead change initiatives and implement new ways of working within the Americas region, recording and sharing lessons learnt to enable and promote continuous improvement.
* Operate as a business partner to stakeholders, acting to represent the needs of the region within the overall client project administration group strategy.
Governance and compliance
* Drive efficiencies and increased usability of management information systems.
* Deliver to KPIs and SLAs
– monitor and report upon the efficiency and accuracy of the project lifecycle.
* Ensure the timely and accurate submission of project data in line with financial and company regulatory requirements and timelines.
* Support the implementation of relevant recommendations resulting from group and external audits within the region.
Requirements
Essential
* Extensive experience in a business administration / operations role ideally in a similar industry
* Understanding of transactional project data including, but not limited to; work in progress management, cost monitoring, invoicing and resource planning.
* Track record of delivering and/or leading a team through business change
* Experienced and skilled people manager
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Confident and talented with IT and Microsoft 365 applications
* Critical thinking and business analytical skills
* Stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
* Strong communication skills written and oral (informal and presentational)
* Risk management techniques and problem-solving skills
Preferred
* Experience of designing and implementing business process
* Experience of working in a programme management office structure
* Project management certification or qualification (e.g.
Prince2, Agile)
* Business analysis certification or qualification
* Able to use and program power platforms, specifically Microsoft Power BI and automate
