The Head of Distribution Operations is responsible for the strategy and execution of all DISH distribution operations.
The functional areas include administration, receiving, pack out, inventory accuracy, value-add services, warehouse management, and shipping activities of the main facilities in Suwanee GA and Denver, CO as well as sub facilities as required.
The leader will ensure a high level of safety, quality, efficiency, employee satisfaction, overall customer service/satisfaction, adequate staffing levels, training, internal and external growth, and maximization of asset utilization in order to achieve company goals.
The leader will accomplish this with a lean exempt staff of approximately 250 heads and requires partnering with the Quality, Training, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
The Head of Distribution Operations must champion continual improvement efforts and the realization of planned process improvement activities.
This role has a very high degree of responsibility and visibility to Executive Leadership with a solid career path.
This role is responsible for informing C-level executives of progress, strategies, risks and plans for operational execution.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are a necessity due to the pace of work and the amount of inter-departmental coordination.

• Manages leaders of distribution staff.
Responsible for adherence to safety, security, procedural, and other DISH policies and procedures
• Develops and manages the annual budget, develops and manages operational metrics
• Standardizes and improves administrative, receiving, packing, and shipping processes to ensure timely access to materials and products
• Expected to meet fulfillment requirements to the sales organization
• Expected to meet fulfillment requirements to all internal partner organizations.
Outputted product should meet or exceed required quality levels both functionally and aesthetically
• Manages and develops cross-functional relationships and strategies to support organizational goals and objectives
• Responsible for hiring, training, and recruiting needs and strategic staffing plan.
Manages the employee performance appraisal process
• Provides accurate and clear communication in both written and verbal forms.
Delegates effectively and shares knowledge
• Ensures acceptable inventory accuracy is maintained through the cycle count program and physical inventory processes for both on-site and off-site stored material.
• Travels to sites inside and outside of their chain of command meets with suppliers, customers, industry leaders and attends company events or meetings as required
• Other duties as required.

• Bachelors degree from four-year college or university, and 5 years of related experience; or 10 years related experience, including 2 years supervisory/management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have the Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff
• Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
• Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage staff, responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
• Ability to travel 30-50% of the time
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical analysis
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff.
• Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Desired skills or experience:
• Six Sigma or Lean qualifications with demonstrated implementation experience; OSHA, APEX, OCPIM, Workers Comp and EEO experience preferred
Compensation: $160,000.00/Year
– $200,000.00/Year
