Role Description

The Head of Client & Competitive Insights is key to the transformation strategy for Equitable’s Marketing Center of Excellence. Through analytical expertise, organizational development, process design, and technology, this leader will advance and operationalize our strategic insights and analytics capabilities, enabling us to implement a world class analytics ecosystem to track our full suite of engagement strategies across our lines of business.

Key areas of strategic focus include:

  • Development of a roadmap toward a modern, intelligent insights model that drives both marketing and enterprise business strategy.
  • Advance Equitable’s development and implementation of actionable segmentation models for more relevant, impactful marketing communications.
  • Expand Equitable’s data science capabilities and mindsets to be more predictive with a mutli-attribution model to effectively measure and operationalize greater business impact.
  • Establish and manage a cadence for effective campaign and brand measurement across multiple channels for key progams and campaigns.
  • Develop and deploy measurement dashboards for all marketing programs/campagns across channels and advertising to assess and effectiveness at all stages of the funnel and life cycle.
  • Assess and measure the competitive landscape including trends, emerging players and other industry change.
  • Oversee customer insights and behaviors positioning with deep market research and recommendations. This includes leading our internal research team and identifying 3 rd parties who can push our practice further.

This position reports to Equitable’s Chief Marketing Officer and serves as part of the Marketing Leadership Team.

What we’re looking for:

Responsibilities

  • Build efficient models and methods for gaining on-going client & advisor insights, balancing enterprise-wide strategic insights with the needs of LOB and product leaders.
  • Develop data & digital ecosystem, including broad knowledge of where data is housed, how it may be accessed for marketing and strategic purposes, and where data gaps may exist.
  • Lead strategic roadmap for prioritizing outstanding data needs and addressing them in a cost-effective manner, including development of new internal and external data capabilities.
  • Implement consistent, compelling cadence for marketing reporting, including overall client & advisor success and opportunities, as well as campaign-based analytics.
  • Advance our capabilities for applied analytics—how data and insights should shape our collective strategies–and serve as a trusted source of new solutions.
  • Design a competitive market sizing, monitoring and tracking capability – which overlays the business’ product focus and identifies market shifts and emerging trends.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer, creating a culture of customer obsession and encouraging continuous feedback loops from customers and stakeholders
