Role Introduction

Reports to: General Manager Cargo Service Delivery 

Ensure Cathay Pacific’s world-class Cargo Customer Experience delivered through efficient HKIA Cargo Hub operation, for our home market-GBA and HK, as well as across the network. The Head of Cargo leads the 24/7 Cargo Operation Center (COC) team and manage core suppliers in Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), including CX subsidiaries, to ensure day-to-day cargo and flight handing are safe and compliant. The head also works closely with CX Cargo Commercial, home market- GBA and HK sales team in particular, to ensure seamless operation and service for shipment going via HKIA. The role also oversees the continuous development of Operation Control Center within COC in providing shipment care service for special products, as well as other customer care 

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Duty Holder for HK and GBA Cargo Operations
• Ensure regulatory compliance through ensuring Continuous Monitoring and Quality Control program for HK Cargo Operation are conduct adequately
• Meet or exceed the established safety standards through continuous review of procedures and facilities with good consultation with HO Cargo Service Delivery team
• Operate an reliable and cost efficient Cargo HUB operation through close coordination with GBA and HK Sales, Cargo Revenue Management, outports, ramp operators and cargo terminals etc
• Collaborate with Cargo Commercial Product team and Cargo Service Development team to continuously improve development shipment care service offerings
• Work closely with AAHK, authorities and stakeholders to ensure premier cargo hub positioning, including evaluation of GBA related development initiatives and projects

Requirements

• University graduate with over 15 years air cargo operation or ground service experience, with at least 10 years in managerial capacity. Candidate with Cargo Commercial Experience but with sound operational mind-set would also be considered
• Good understanding of IATA Dangerous Good Regulations, Air Cargo Security protocols, and GBA and HK air cargo markets would be definite advantage
• Experienced in leading team, suppliers and projects with multiple stakeholder groups 
• Lean practitioner with solid Lean projects delivered is highly preferable
• Cantonese and English required. Mandarin highly desirable
