The Purchasing Analyst is responsible for providing administrative, analytical, and executional support for all the company’s Supply Planning and Procurement responsibilities, in ways that support company strategic goals, profitable sales growth, and financial health.Reports To: Supply Chain ManagerDirect Reports: NoneWorks Closely With: Vendors, Product, Quality, Distribution, Logistics, FinancePrimary Metrics:On-time Vendor ShipmentsFill-RateDays of InventoryMaster Data AccuracyResponsibilities: Department ManagementDevelop and maintain departmental library of Standard Operating ProceduresProcess improvement and interdepartmental communicationProcurement ManagementGlobal Supply Chain Strategy Understand key issues and work with team on mitigation strategies, a.) Duty and Tariffs, b.) Raw Material Inflation and Costs, c.) Lead TimesPurchasing Process ManagementExecute purchase orders based on supply purchasing planManage production status of all purchase orders with vendors and ensure on-time shipmentsCollaborate and coordinate with internal partners such as product and quality inspection and control teams to ensure vendors meet quality standards and item production expectationsMonitor production attainment challenges and develop solutions to optimize fill rateReview and approve proforma invoices and coordinate payments with FinanceCoordinate with logistics to book and set up shipmentsMonitor and manage in-transit shipments including ETA timing updates and communication to internal teamCollaborate on inventory receipts and process shortages and overages from vendorsVendor Relationship ManagementCollaborate with Product and Asia Office to vet and set up new vendorsExecute vendor agreements and recommend changes to optimize product and processes for operationsCoordinate setup details with vendors including payment termsCollaborate with product team on annual quoting process and proposed cost increases from vendorsWork with Product Development, Quality and Finance to create vendor scorecards and present business reviews to vendorsWork with relevant teams to administer vendor chargebacks according to vendor termsProduct Information ManagementWork with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Technology teams to facilitate and execute the item setup process in SAP and the Product Information Management (PIM) softwareCreate and maintain an accurate list of all SKU master data including UPC’s, GTIN’s, item numbers, and other item information and ensure accuracyAssign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Codes and ensure accuracy in our systemsWork with relevant internal teams and vendors to develop item packing methods and labeling details and document in the Product Information Management (PIM) softwareInventory OptimizationInventory Planning: a) Optimize inventory and fill rate targets by creating work orders and bill of materials for assorted items to balance inventory, b.)
