Global Sourcing Analyst

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Global Sourcing, the Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for business intelligence and analytics on spend, savings and additional data management to support achievement of the targets of the Global Sourcing Team.

The role is part of a Global Sourcing team in the Novelis Procurement Organization, that sources, negotiates, implements, and manages supply agreements, covering primarily indirect spend categories.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics on spend to support the Global Sourcing Team with global spend in the cast house, coatings, chemicals, industrial gases, energy, mobile equipment and rolling oils categories.
• Create data management that assists the Global Sourcing Team to create transparency tracking of spend not following strategic direction and contractual obligations.
• Assist on setting annual savings and inflationary targets.
• Track savings and inflation monthly against set targets; update reporting tools as required.
• Create and track supplier scorecards to assure the best supplier performance.
• Manage supplier’s certifications (ISO, OHSAS) and Conflict Minerals.
• Align with the Finance team to communicate financial standings of the team.
• Develop relationships effectively with stakeholders to become a trusted business partner.
• Assists with business analytics and insights on strategic direction, communication of goals, practices, and processes of the Global Sourcing organization with respective business partners.
• Analysis of the spend and working with the Novelis IT function to improve capturing and reporting on spend globally.
• Collaborate with team members to use spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities, identify major risks and assist with implementing mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial reporting and spend management.
• Ability to communicate effectively (in writing and verbally) and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong reporting and project management experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of procurement experience in financial reporting
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong data analytics skills
• Ability to influence others and drive results in highly matrix environment
• Adept with Microsoft suite of applications
• Ability to balance competing priorities and manage projects to efficiently and effectively deliver results

Additional Skills/ Knowledge:

• High energy/impact, self-driven individual
• Ability to drive results by using data to evaluate options.
• Prior experience with financial reporting is a plus
• Reporting using market indexes would be a benefit to the role
• Excellent presentation skills
• Detail orientation
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to navigate through ambiguities with minimal direction
