Geographic Information System Analyst

Responsibilities n n Use Data to develop SOW and a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress n Use Data pivots to assist in creating project budgets n Creates databases, maps, and/or graphs that can be combined with geographically referenced route data, working with GIS software that has the capacity to relate different types of data such as infrastructure, and transportation networks.

n Keeps databases, maps, and graphs maintained.

n Meets with users to define data needs, project requirements, required outputs, including reporting n Collaborates on budgets based upon data findings n Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects n Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget n Compiles data gathered from a variety of sources, including censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps.

n Enters data, analyzes geographic and spatial data, and determines how all of the combined information can best be integrated in order for it to be displayed using GIS and incorporates it into documents and reports.

n Analyzes geographic relationships, especially as it relates to routing, sequencing and mapping, among varying types of data.

n Performs analytical project responsibilities which include: planning, developing, analyzing, and performing quality control functions to geographic related systems in support of the organization’s GIS.

n Designs and update databases, applying additional knowledge of spatial feature representations relevant to service projects.

n Coordinate with customers to clarify the specific requirements of each project n Track project performance and analyze successful completions to implement best-practices n Perform other related duties as assigned n n Requirements n n At least 3 years’ experience with data coordination, data cleansing and/or data workflow n Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree n Expert with Excel software n Expert with pivot tables, v-lookup, concatenating, etc.; Access knowledge a plus n Mapping and routing experience preferred n Arcview or similar mapping software knowledge and/or routing software a plus n Comfortable knowledge and understanding working with project line-item budgets n Excellent written and verbal communication skills n Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills n n About Container Pros and Wastequip n nFor more than ten years Container Pros has offered the highest standards in professional waste services, establishing itself as the leader in providing specialty services to haulers and municipalities across the country.
