The Fort Sanders Perinatal Center, a member of Covenant Health, has an immediate opening for an ABGC Board Certified/Board Eligible prenatal genetic counselor.
We are looking for an energetic and motivated genetic counselor to join our large, thriving practice.
The genetic counselor will be a valued member of a large team including 3 genetic counselors, 3 MFMs, as well as sonographers, nurse practitioners, and a social worker.
The genetic counselor will provide all aspects of preconception and prenatal genetic counseling.
Both experienced counselors and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
The Fort Sanders Perinatal Center is located in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee.

Position Summary: Provides genetic counseling services to Perinatal Center patients.
Reports to the Office Manager.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: Two or more (2+) years of genetic counseling experience preferred.
New graduates are welcome to apply.
He/she must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Licensure Requirement: Board certification or eligibility for board certification in genetic counseling through the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG).
If ABGC certified, the candidate must initiate Tennessee State Genetic Counseling License application process prior to starting.
If not ABGC certified, the candidate must obtain Active Candidate Status as conferred by the ABGC, take the next available certification exam and initiate the Temporary Tennessee State Genetic Counseling License application process prior to starting.
CPR required.
