Scope of Work:A Waukesha Pearce Industries (WPI) Generator Tech Class B is expected to execute their knowledge of generators and engines to complete PM maintenance on standby generators, read wiring schematics and wire simple projects.Primary Job Responsibilities:Performs maintenance and repairs on generators and associated controlsCompletes proper timecards and service reports on a daily basisUpdates and reviews personal knowledge of all changes and variations of the generators and controls sold and serviced by WPIKeeps all service updates available for referenceAttends service schools and training programs offered by WPIPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Must have a minimum of 1 years previous experienceG.E.D.
or High School DiplomaMust be able to work and learn from othersMust have a mechanical and/or electrical aptitudeMust have an aptitude to learn to read simple wiring schematics and learn to wire circuitsMust be able to supply your own toolsTrade school or special training preferredRequirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Must have a current driver’s license and proof of insuranceMust be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements as outlined by the Department of TransportationMust be able to complete PM maintenance on standby generatorsMust be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred.
(MS Word, Excel, Outlook)Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist several times dailyMust have the ability to work flexible hours and daysMust be dependable and able to work independentlyMust maintain a professional appearanceMust maintain good client relationsMust promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environmentWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:Typical hours of work Monday
