Grinding Portion:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Use various grinding tools to “take down” welding seams
Bevel/smooth cut edges
Cut off and smooth “tabs”
Cut out seams
Essential Tasks:
Read work task specifications job order instructions
Position or provide access to workpiece by pacing on stand, placing work platform, steps, etc.
Retrieve tools, materials, etc.
Set-up work station with locating part stands, placing parts via operation of overhead crane
Operate tools (i.e. cutting, grinding)
Climb portable platform stairs, lie down inside vessel, etc. to access workpiece locations for grinding locations
Welding Portion:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Layout component locations on product parts as per work instructions
Prepare component attachment locations and component parts via cutting and finishing
Affix components to parts via appropriate welding technique

Essential Tasks:
Read work task specifications job order instructions
Design and measure for attachment locations for components
Retrieve attachment components, tools, materials, etc.
Set-up work station with locating part stands, placing parts via operation of overhead crane
Operate tools (i.e. cutting, grinding, welding) to cut and finish attachment holes, cut and finish attachment parts
Climb portable platform stairs to access parts locations for component attachments (including sheathing and insulation) and/or welding
Attach and operate ratchet straps for components (i.e. sheathing)
Locate component parts at attachment sites via simple manual placement, and/or forcefully positioning by hand as well as with force multiplication tools (i.e. pry bars, etc.)
