Fulltime Firefighter/EMT – No Certifications Required

HVFSSD is looking to add 30 fulltime employees to our fire family in 2022. We are seeking individuals who are interested in becoming fulltime firefighters/emergency medical technicians. Fire and emergency medical certifications are not required to apply or to be offered fulltime employment. Successful candidates selected for fulltime employment will enter our fire academy and will receive the training necessary for continued employment.

Applications and resumes must be completed and received at our Administrative Offices located at 202 East State Street, Hurricane, UT prior to taking the test. The deadline for turning in applications will be noon on December 20, 2021. Applications are available on our website at www.hvfssd.org/jobs. Completed applications and resumes may be submitted electronically or in person at 202 East State Street, Hurricane, Utah 84737, or by US Mail or carrier.

Applicant general aptitude, hire adaptability and physical testing may be completed online, in your current location or at our District testing location in Hurricane, Utah. There is no need to travel long distances to complete the testing. Our testing process will accommodate participants who utilize English as their second language. Information on the testing process will be sent to the candidates who successfully complete the initial application and resume review.

Applicants invited to complete the testing process must complete an in person or online test prior to December 28, 2021.

The oral board interviews will be done online and scheduled between December 27 – 30 , 2021 after the online or in person testing is completed prior to December 28th
