Employment location will be established during the interview process and ski/snowboard level is contingent on passing an on-snow assessment.Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the servers to the kitchenEnsure orders are being prepared with the correct priorityAssist in the final preparation of dishesCheck dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperatureOrganize orders to maintain fast serviceEliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashingInspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaningTransfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)Handle complaints from guests to preserve the restaurants reputationSupport other tasks as neededStation set up per station guide, and completed sideworkAdhere to all restaurant safety and health standardsEnsure 8-12 minute ticket times are achieved. Alert management immediately if the threshold exceeds this standardMinimum skills, experience, and education required for this job :Proven experience as food expeditor or other restaurant positionUnderstanding of health and safety rules in a restaurantDexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy traysWell-organized and ability to lead and direct peopleExcellent communication and negotiation skillsOutstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilitiesA customer-oriented approachGreat physical enduranceHigh school diploma; Higher degree in hospitality or relevant field will be appreciatedFood handling certification may be required according to legal regulations , Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporations Service Excellence standardsPhysical Requirements :Must be minimum 15 years of ageMust stand for long periods of timeMust lift and carry up to 30 lbs. on a regular basisMust be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language.Miscellaneous information :This is an hourly position and is subject to overtime payPosition requires working weekends and holidays as neededThe base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporations total compensation package for employees.
