To do so, we rely on a dynamic, culturally diverse group of employees, working in more than 100 countries, in a variety of exciting roles.We are seeking a Consultant/Field Engineer to be based from one of the following locations: Northshore of MA (Middlesex County)Southern NHNorwood areaThis position may be eligible for alignment to different grade levels.
Varying levels of experience and qualifications will be considered.
Responsibilities:If you enjoy variety, we will put your time-management and organization skills to use handling field visits, office work, and projects for large commercial clients.
We will provide you with extensive training to understand our business, build relationships with mentors, and learn FM Global’s best-in-class industry standards.
In this role, you will work independently with a lifeline of 200 years of support and experience.Initially, assignments are structured for you to learn.
You will gradually begin assessing risks at larger commercial properties.
You will visit client facilities and perform evaluations that will help our clients reduce risks in their business and at their properties.You will perform hands-on site assessments of physical properties including roofs and conduct evaluations which include, but are not limited to, site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and rack storage arrangements of client products.Consultant Engineers are encouraged to follow FM Global Engineering Standards and communicate recommendations and/or engineering solutions to ensure client understanding.
Strong communication, listening and relationship building skills are a must.You should be willing to operate from a home office and will travel to clients’ facilities; overnight travel is expected approximately 30% of the time.
