This is a Full-time position in Chicago, IL posted January 22, 2022.

Primary responsibilities include providing daily research and support to a supervisory attorney including maintaining and organizing the calendar, appealing property values, and data entry.

Candidates should be organized, motivated, a self-starter, able to multitask, work well with others, have a strong work ethic, able to communicate with co-workers as well as with clients, by telephone, e-mail and letter and be professional in appearance and demeanor.

Duties may include but are not limited to: Providing daily support to supervisorHeavy researchDepartment billingTracking appeal deadlinesAppealing property values, which include gathering and entering property values and tax rates into databasePreparing paperwork for appeal (i.E., form, cover letter, etc.)Coordinating hearings internally and work with various local officials to coordinate hearings all over the nationReporting personal property tax values to various local governments, which includes filing the personal property renditionManaging our database of electronic client filesGenerating client reports as requestedAnswering and routing incoming phone callsProcessing mail and incoming correspondenceAppearance conscious Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Science or Business & Management preferred) Candidates that do not currently hold a Bachelor’s degree will not be considered for this positionTwo years office experienceMinimum Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Desired Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)ResearchAbility to multi-task and work in a fast paced, team oriented environmentOrganized and detail orientedSelf-starterStrong interpersonal skillsFinancial or accounting background preferred.
