Our client is a leading logistics organization and they wish to hire a VP of Shared Services that will be responsible for the shared services center that initially includes AP, AR and associated functions.
This role will be responsible for establishing the processes and SLA’s for the department.Essential duties will include: Manage the Shared Services teamDevelop and establish “best in class” processes for order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and payrollRecruit and develop a high performing teamDevelop SLA’S and excellent service deliveryDevelop the road map to success including continuous improvement, increasing efficiencyProduces and analyzes weekly/monthly KPIs, dashboards and analytics to measure and improve performanceAssists with special financial and business related projects which impact Shared ServicesManages and administers controls and compliance, assists with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requestsFoster a strong customer service culture across the center to ensure a quality service is delivered to all internal and external customersBuilds and maintains relationships by collaborating across business units and departments to foster trust, commitment, accountability and resultsJob Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field10+ years’ experience building high-performing teamsRelevant Shared Services leadership expertiseERP systems expertiseExperience with KPI’s, SLA’s etcStrong accounting experience and knowledge of GAAPExcellent talent development skillsExperience with process improvement and/or change managementStrong commercial acumen and customer service focusUnderstand how the business operates and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Shared Services
