Summary

Estimators are responsible for all aspects of bidding a project. They must analyze labor, time and materials requirements in order to determine the overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating. Determining job take-offs to accurately calculate job cost is a fundamental skill set required to perform this role effectively.

Duties

• Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposals
• Estimate the majority of work applicable to the respective region or business line, including, target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow.
• Review and approve change orders
• Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts.
• Create and present reports to upper management.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the key vendors.
• Read and interpret customer ISO drawings
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, and production equipment
• Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Root Cause & Corrective Action techniques
• Capacity and staffing analysis
• Interpersonal and communication skills including presentations (This position will present to multiple levels of management.)
• Read and comprehend drawings and specifications
• High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Project
• Experience in Aerospace or composites manufacturing is preferred

Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience

One to three years of relevant experience preferred.

Computer Skills

• Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
• ERP system experience

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. PPE is provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure.

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, additional overtime hours as needed
