Enterprise BI Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for an Enterprise BI Business Systems Analyst who excels at business systems analysis in areas of requirements gathering, specification creation, testing, and building reports and dashboards to implement and execute data-rich, enterprise-wide BI solutions to achieve competitive advantages.

This individual must be able to work directly with global business stakeholders to comprehensively understand their processes and build robust BI programs designed to drive trusted company metrics and decisions.

Key to success is building a Data Warehouse enabling the client to democratize data from its world-class transactional systems including SAP S/4 HANA and Salesforce with self-service and standard reporting tools leveraging investment in Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

This role will also work on the Enterprise Data Lake which will include all data assets and will provide analysts, data scientists, and data stewards a secure, organized area to help do their daily work, as well as help gather insights to improve the product set, processes, and services.

This is a critical role that will work with the Director to build and mature the company’s analytical capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities n Capture all data sources, entities, and objects within the new S4 / HANA and Salesforce instances, older Oracle Financials, and even older ECC 6.0 and Syteline instances and identify those needed to be folded into the client s Data Warehouse Identify connections between the old and the new systems to help build an integrated Synapse Analytics Data Warehouse with 7+ years of data from the various ERP system Build ETL specs for loads into facts and dimensions of the Synapse Analytics Data Warehouse on Azure cloud Identify any key standard reports needed by the business Build standard reports in Power BI in Azure Cloud Train business users on the use of Power BI as a self-serve tool Play a key role in the build-out of a hybrid Enterprise Data Lake on Azure cloud with a few sources residing outside the Azure cloud environment Help integrate SAP Commerce Cloud, IoT, and any other new datasets into the Enterprise Data Lake Create the catalog for the Enterprise Data Lake Champion the Data Lake for its larger use with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and other users Lead data integration initiatives with partners, providers, and acquisitions Collaborate with business process owners, data producers, and data consumers to get an understanding of current processes and systems that has a direct impact on the quality of the enterprise data Build partnerships with the business, providers, and other organizations to create innovative solutions and align business priorities to the broad business goals, and accountable for the results Ensure the highest possible data quality and data-rich environment across all functional areas by establishing metrics for tracking and measuring the value of the client’s BI environment and tools Work with vendors and managed service providers in executing large and small initiatives Work with the CISO to ensure all data is secure and meets all HIPPA / GDPR / CCPA privacy requirements Work with the Director of Enterprise BI to develop and implement a data governance model that ensures integrity across all data assets Education & Certifications: n Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management / Administration, or specialized training / certification Master’s degree preferred Certifications in Microsoft Power series and Microsoft Azure required Experience : n 10+ years’ experience supporting the design and development of business intelligence solutions including data warehouse, ETL concepts, and presentation 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Azure cloud, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure IoT 5+ years’ in-depth experience with Power BI Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Fiori, and/or SAP Commerce clouds reports a plus Experience with Agile development methodology: building user stories and backlog, sprint planning, daily standups, and post-mortem Experience with DevOps principles and rapid deployment to the cloud Experience leading data conversations and developing business concepts Experience structuring and analyzing large quantities of data and information for statistical and analytical modeling Experience with data science and predictive analytics concepts and working with Data Scientists Experience working with vendors and managed services providers Skills : n Solid knowledge of Enterprise applications like SAP S4 / HANA, Commerce Cloud, and Salesforce Ability to influence and energize an organization to move towards new BI opportunities Deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Integrity, Master Data Management, & Data Quality Solid understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake best practices Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of OLTP and Data Warehouse entity, logic, and physical data modeling Knowledge of computer constructs: ETL, ELT, batch, streaming, real-time (REST / SOAP) Proven track record of building and maintaining successful relationships across complex functions, IT partners, and the wider IS community A passion for ensuring data accuracy, clarity, and quality; underlying drive to increase efficiency and track organizational measures Values contributions of all team members constituencies; values team accomplishments over individual accomplishments; leverages others’ strengths and experiences to achieve team goals Uses customer feedback as a basis for improving service and performs necessary follow-up work without being prompted Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Proven ability to partner with client stakeholders from various parts of the organization Ability to handle multiple tasks and work-streams in a fast-paced environment W2 only, no Corp to Corp.
