Your Impact: Jacobs is seeking an RF Engineer to support test and evaluation of equipment and execute MIL-STD-461 testing, at the U.S. Army’s Electronic Proving Ground (EPG), located at Fort Huachuca, AZ. Here’s What You’ll Need: R equired: * Bachelor’s degree in RF Engineering or Electrical Engineering. In lieu of college or vocational training, a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in RF testing, or any equivalent combination of education/experience for a total of five (5) years. * Candidate must be able to interpret and execute MIL-STD-461 testing to meet RF performance specifications and align with government and military regulations. * Candidate must be familiar with a range of equipment specialized for RF testing and setup, including anechoic chambers, RF test stations, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers to take measurements and ensure RF compliance. * Candidate must have the ability to configure a circuit based on a diagram and be able to solve simple algebraic formulas. * Candidate must be able to supervise and work well with other employees. * Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel. * Position may require contact with vendors regarding the systems being evaluated. * May require investigating problems, innovating solutions, and writing reports. *This list is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Required Clearance : US Citizen with an active Intermim Secret Security Clearance required at the time of hire. Essential Functions Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required, this includes walking on uneven terrain in a field environment. Work Environment: Works in anechoic chambers; but can involve testing outdoors, and work in office environments. The work inside of an anechoic chamber/control room is close quarters, moderate to high noise, bright or dim lighting. At times, candidates will work in areas with RF hazards. Work site is located in Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Equipment and Machines: Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required. Attendance: An RDO schedule is practiced at the E3 EMI facility; One week, 9 hours, Monday – Thursday 5:00am – 2:30pm | One week, 9 hours, Monday – Thursday, with Friday off. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements Other Essential Functions: Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
