As a United Engineer, you will also evaluate the benefits of the cost impact of a fleet decision to ensure a balance of cost, assets utilization.
You will be responsible for working with both internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations and failure investigations.
Your could work in a variety of engineering departments based on current needsReview Service Bulletins (SBs) from airframe manufacture or component manufacture for effectivity to United FleetDevelops solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation which can include obtaining FAA approvals and coordinate warranty recovery on SBs that are applicableOrganize and manage the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplish the work process to meet all deliverables for projects both online and base aircraft as well as maintenance program changes and technical specification revisionsCoordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability and operational efficiencyRequiredB.S Degree in Engineering from an accredited university, related technical field or equivalent experienceEntry level to 5 years of engineering experienceEngineering skill sets which can be applied to a range of aircraft systems, maintenance programs and enginesAbility to analyze complex technical issues, detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modificationsExcellent verbal and technical writing skills neededMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionMust be willing to travel up to 80% of the time as projects necessitatePreferredPreferred Aerospace/Electrical Engineering degrees.Maintenance check engineering experience on Boeing/Airbus aircraftKnowledge of FAR’s (especially 145, 25 and 121)Experience working with Supplemental Type Certificate projects and ODA administrationExperience reading, interpreting, and creating wiring diagrams as well as other aircraft maintenance manuals.Strong skills in MS office applications (Excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.)Equal Opportunity Employer – Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled/LGBT
