We are looking for an experienced EHS Specialist to perform these key functions at our Quincy FL location.

Reduces hazards and risks which to prevent injury, illness, property loss, productivity loss and associated costs.
Essential Functions: Implements and evaluates corporate EHS programs, policies, and procedures Ensures organization complies with current federal, State and local regulations Audits the organization’s facilities, equipment, procedures, training, and recordkeeping to identify areas of improvement Implements EHS training programs Engages with team members at all levels to achieve results Conducts or coordinates frequent safety meetings for all shifts Conducts accident investigations; identifies root causes and recommends corrective actions Implements compliance tasks; maintains electronic work order systems for EHS Participates in agency regulatory inspections and/or responds to agency correspondence Generates reports; maintains EHS spreadsheets and systems Adhere to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO Other duties and projects as assigned Job Requirements and Skill Sets: Associate degree in related field 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in mining/manufacturing Working knowledge of MSHA standards Familiarity with reference standards (ACGIH / ANSI / NIOSH / NFPA / NEC / OSHA) Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships and facilitate learning Public speaking skills Proficiency with computer applications and Microsoft products Valid driver’s license required EHS certifications helpful (MSP, CMSP, ASP, OHST, MSHA Instructor, 30 hour OSHA General Industry, Visual Emissions Evaluator) In addition to a great working environment, AMI offers an excellent total compensation package which includes:
