Edward Jones currently has more branch offices than any other financial services firm, and we continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.Business Intelligence Semantic Layer Product Owner The Analytics Portfolio partners with business areas to provide analytical insights for firm decision making and strategic planning.?

The Business Intelligence Semantic Layer product owner is responsible for making firm data widely accessible in support of analytics and reporting, specifically through semantic layer datasets designed to facilitate end user self-service.

The product owner will lead the engagement with our internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide a strategy for how to maximize value through data.

They will assist analysts in translating business needs into technical requirements which will drive the work performed by a cross functional delivery team.

There is an expectation to partner with leaders across the Analytics Portfolio and with leaders within the Edward Jones Technology division to deliver high value analytics driving towards shared objectives, independently making ongoing day to day decisions related to team priorities, resources and approach.

Key Responsibilities: The Team Leader serves as the individual accountable for the firm’s centralized analytics and reporting semantic layer and its ability to meet the Firm’s data needs.

They are responsible for providing thought leadership and driving a cross functional team to deliver value to internal customers of the Firm.

Partnering with other product owners within the Analytics Portfolio to develop a comprehensive self-service strategy for the firm.

This individual aligns strategy to execution through the development and maintenance of their roadmap and backlog, outlining and prioritizing the body of work expected now, next, and into the future.

Responsible within their team for recruiting, hiring and developing the diverse talent necessary to fulfill the Analytic Portfolio’s mission, vision and guiding principles Responsible for leading analysts through the elicitation and documentation of both business and technical requirements.

Lead the creation of repeatable and scalable frameworks that can be leveraged to execute the work.

Ensure the core processes are followed and hold team accountable to the deliverables required of each phase to promote consistent, transparent, and quality results.

Develop and manage business relationships with senior leaders and executive-level management across the organization Position Qualifications: Minimum of 7+ years of experience with progressive responsibility in an information systems, analytical, financial, or economic role.

Ability to lead team of analysts, prioritize multiple projects from all areas of the firm.

Strong ability to provide coaching to others on technical and analytical functions Strong communication skills with associates and leadership in cross-functional settings using verbal, written and presentation skills required Strong experience in business intelligence tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Looker, Qlik Sense, etc.) Technical database knowledge (Oracle, Snowflake, Teradata, SQL Server, etc.) required Experience with analytic tools (R, Python, SAS, Dataiku, etc.) a plus Understanding of Agile with experience with Jira or similar agile workflow tool.

Ability to overcome ambiguity and deliver results.

Advanced understanding how data impacts decision making in each functional area supported required Project management skills required.

Strong analytical, critical, and systems thinking required Bachelor’s Degree required.

Advanced Degree preferred or Certification in Business, Database Design, Economics, Analytics, Statistics FORTUNE 2020 Edward Jones was named No.
