Dog Walker/Pet Sitter/Pet Care

RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

• Must enjoy being outside, walking, smiling, laughing, and spending time with loving animals in one of the most beautiful areas of Charleston. All work is on Daniel Island
• This is a part-time position with hours and days that fluctuate based on client needs. This would be a great position for additional income
• Available weekdays (1 – 3 days) from 10am-2pm (days and hours vary based on business levels/client requests)
• Morning (Breakfast 7-9), Midday (10-2), evening (Dinner 4:30-6) and bedtime (8:30 – 10) visit shifts are also needed
• Flexible schedule
• All appointments are on Daniel Island – MUST LIVE ON OR NEAR DANIEL ISLAND
• A passion for pets
• Dependable, organized, and punctual
• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation with a valid SC license and insurance
• Excellent communication skills and a smart phone
• Willing to care for a variety of animals, large and small, including Dogs, Cats, Birds, Exotics (schedules are based on your comfort level with the pets)
• Experience with animal care is a plus
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• Willing to undergo a background check
• Availability for rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience with administering medications (oral and injections) a plus, but will train

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 – $22.00 per hour

• Do you live on Daniel Island?
• Shifts vary from Breakfast, Midday, Dinner, and Bedtime. During each time slot the shift is usually 1 – 4 hours. Please indicate which shifts you are interested in or can work. I am looking for someone who can work 1-3 daytime shifts per week. I am also looking for someone to work dinner, bedtime, weekends. This can be a combination of several different team members not one person working all of those shifts, unless you are interested in that.
• Are you willing to undergo a background check?
• What days are you able to work? Are you able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis? This job is based on client needs who are at work during the day and therefore need pet visits/walks while they are at work. They also go on vacation over weekends, holidays, spring break, summer months, etc. This is why holidays and weekends are needed on a rotating basis.
