Job Description:
Leidos is seeking to hire a Jr. Deskside Engineer to provide support to the Department of Transportation’s Enterprise IT Infrastructure environment. Our work will assist with the management of IT services for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) including: Service Desk, Incident Management, Customer Service Operations, Database Administration, Telephone & Conference Call Services, Desktop Support, Mobile Device Support, and Remote Access Support.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for providing desk side support to end users when a move, add, change is requested.
Assists in end user hardware and software deployment.
Updates status of queued service requests with the IT service management system.
Escalates complex problems to Mid-level Desk side Engineers.
Troubleshoots basic issues during deployments and attempts to remediate issues before escalating.
Basic Qualifications
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.
Must be willing to work effectively within a team environment in a fast-paced support role.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must possess excellent problem- solving skills
Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
Pay Range:
