National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) is hiring!
The Community Education Coordinator is responsible for the development, delivery of community and school-based education and awareness workshops.
Responsible for development, implementation, and monitoring of NCADD-RA’s continuing professional education.This full-time position is eligible for the following benefits: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Generous PTO & Paid Holidays, 403B, and Employee Discount Programs.ResponsibilitiesRespects and maintains student confidentiality.
Demonstrates a positive and caring attitude toward all consumers, program participants, and staff.Responsible for developing, updating, and delivering school and community evidence-based programs and training in conjunction with NCADD-RA educator staff.
Responsible for assessing school and community need, adapting programming to meet needs of requesting school / community partners.
Responsible for ongoing development of continuing education program including: recruitment and contracting with presenters, development of an annual training schedule, tracking presenter engagement through workshop evaluations.
Assisting in the application and logging in of all new training for continuing education credit standards to be maintained.
Responsible for ongoing ACCT evening program to include: scheduling classes, contracting/supporting presenters, developing 16-month calendar, monitoring all classes for student attendance and presenter engagement.
Responsible for communicating any changes as needed to Director to ensure program continues to meet and exceed OASAS educational credit standards.
Responsible for student application review and selection with Director, for the ACCT program.
This includes keeping current the student application packet and interview format, updating ACCT informational flyer and brochure as needed.
Responsible for maintaining relationship with SUNY Empire for the benefit of ACCT students.Participate in networking groups, as assigned by Director, to assess community training needs on an ongoing basis in order to maintain cutting edge provision of training.
Participate fully in opportunities to be certified in current and future Evidence-based programs.Performs other duties as needed or requested by the supervisor.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Health Education, Human Services, Counseling, or related fields) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPP (NYS Credentialed Prevention Professional) or CASAC preferred.Experience: Three or more years in program development, delivery of training to diverse populations.Other: Must be able to drive and travel.
Must have clean NYS driver’s license.
Personal transportation required to accomplish core job functions.Work EnvironmentPlease note, this position does require two evening shifts per week.PM18PI
