How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Responsible for overall development, authoring, and management of aircraft technical manuals utilized on Delta’s fleet of air aircraft.
Must ensure compliance to FAA Regulations, Engineering documentation, and other substantiating data as outlined in the Technical Operation Policies & Procedures (TOPP).
Must ensure compliance with all Delta, FAA, and other regulatory requirements.
Works closely with numerous departments including Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, Production Control, Supplier Operations and others to ensure all aircraft manual content meets FAA, ATA, and Delta standards.
Must ensure the safety conscious behaviors are incorporated into all procedures contained in the aircraft technical manuals.
Position requires a thorough knowledge of commercial aviation documentation and guidance specifications (i.e.
ATA 100, iSpec2200, S1000D, and etc).
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Must have a strong technical knowledge of the aircraft and a thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures.
Should be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to handle several projects simultaneously with minimum supervision, must be well-organized, and able to prioritize work to meet established deadlines.
Must have very strong computer skills with knowledge and experience in structured authoring (SGML, S1000D, XML, and etc).
Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Airframe and Powerplant license with minimum 5 years maintenance experience or equivalent technical degree and experience (FCC and avionics experience accepted for wiring team)
