Title Data Analysts STG is a SEI CMMi Level 5 company with several Fortune 500 and State Government clients. STG has multiple openings for Data Analyst. These positions are based in Dearborn, MI for a large Fortune 500 Automotive firm. Please note that these project assignments are with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end-clients. These positions are expected to be long term. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it. Job Description Responsibilities Leverage the existing tools, processes and best practices associated with application packaging such that documented user requirements are satisfied while adhering to bankrsquos technical standards Analyzing and interpret data to be able to provide updates to stakeholders Providing requirements for our technology partners Continuously optimizing existing processes Focus is primarily on financial businessgroup within BMO may include broader enterprise-wide focus Act as a subject matter expert on data sources, systems and reporting options. Consult with colleagues and business partners to understand goals and objectives to influence analysis, quantification, forecasting, andor data visualization strategies Works with stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis models via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs Recommend strategies that align with business needs that enable fact-based analysis and participate in the creation of consumption strategies Build, develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders Lead our technology partners in required changes Skills Have strong banking financial knowledge Have accounting knowledge Well versed in SQL to create complex queries to pull data from various sources Excel knowledge and use of macros Understanding of SDLC Understanding of Quality Assurance (use of HP ALM) Understanding agilewaterfall methodology Can work as independent worker or in a team Be adaptable and can work in ambiguous environment Build strong working relationships internally and externally Possesses good communication, facilitation and people skills Understanding hierarchy data Anticipates and reduces complexity for others. Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues Ability to work independently individually and in groups Excellent quantitative and analytical skills Strong problem solving, critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills, possesses data analytical and data management skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, correlate, cleanse and disseminate significant amounts of raw data into meaningful information with attention to detail and accuracy. Qualifications 10+ years of experience as data analystbusiness analyst Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent Extensive use of analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrates applied knowledge of one or more analysis and problem decomposition technique. Experience with modern data science and analytics tools is a requirement (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, Netezza, Aginity, DB Visualizer, Spotfire, etc.) Understands complete Software Development Life Cycle and can apply the applicable portions of the feasibility, requirements Analysis phases. Demonstrates writing and documentation skills. Understands and can explain to others the core processes involved in their area of support. Technical proficiency gained through education andor business experience.
