Job Description The Manual Sorter removes unwanted material from the process line to ensure Q1 material is sent to next step in production.
The manual sorter reports to the Shift Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities Remove identified PET per procedure and other specified material from the sort line.
Perform housekeeping duties while the line is stopped for PM or equipment issues Cleaning of Pellencs & Ballistics during PM’s Conduct inspection of work area prior to beginning shift Ensure proper reporting of maintenance issues and safety concerns to management Follow all sorting procedures Operate forklift and pallet jack.
Operate Aluminum baler to compress aluminum bales for shipment Ensure and follow all applicable plant rules including Quality, Maintenance, and Safety policies and procedures Wear and maintain all required PPE Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position All other duties as assigned and or required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment Ability to frequently move product up to 50lbs Ability to frequently move about assigned work area and work 12-hour rotating shift Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including working outside and inside a non-climate-controlled facility Job Qualifications Must be 18-years of age Good organizational skills and detailed orientated Positive attitude and the ability to take direction from management Ability to work and perform in a team environment DAK Americas LLC is subject to US Department of Commerce export regulations and thus must hire individuals who meet national security requirements.
