Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC has immediate need for a Principal Cyber Security Analyst to join our team for the Medical Hands-free Unified Broadcast system, better known as MEDHUB in Huntsville, AL supporting the U.S.

Army Medical Materiel Development Activity’s Warfighter Health, Performance, and Evacuation Project Management Office.

MEDHUB’s suite of technology autonomously collects, stores and transmits non-personally identifiable patient information from a device, such as a hand-held tablet, to the receiving field hospital via existing long-range Department of Defense communication systems.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assess current Cyber Security (CS) posture and implement mitigations for identified risks
  • Assist with the development of Risk Assessment Memorandums
  • Assist with the determination of the system categorization is accordance with CNSSI 1253 in areas of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability
  • Work with System Owners to identify and implement the proper Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for each system component.

    This includes conducting periodic scans to ensure all vulnerabilities are being addressed.

    Ensure vulnerabilities are properly documented and tracked until closed in the systems Risk Management Framework (RMF) / Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)

  • Review existing documentation and perform edits to ensure the applicable controls are met to support acquisition decisions, program office requirements, and contracts.

    If documentation does not exist, assist in creating the correct policy, procedure, and artifact to ensure applicable controls are met

  • Ensure Software Assurance is applied to all systems by ensuring an automated industry standard code reviews are conducted, ensuring all category I and II code review findings are properly mitigated or resolved

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ certification required

 

Required Skills:

  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.

  • Must be proficient in Visual Basic, .Net Framework, Oracle, SQL, C# and C++, Linux (Mint, Kali, Red Hat), performing system health checks, Microsoft Suite Products (Excel, Project, Access etc.), front-end and back-end software development, and software debugging, testing, and peer reviewing code
