Alluvion is hiring for a Credentialing Specialist who has report writing experience. This is a direct hire role paying $58-$66k.
The position will ensure the ability to execute and sustain best practices within the Medical Staff Services Department and to promote the quality of information and utilization of credentialing applications and data delivered to end-users and the organization at large.
Description of duties % of time Provides direction and PROBLEM RESOLUTION to the Medical Staff Coordinators for the operational process of credentialing providers. Feedback is also provided for improving the process and informing individuals when the credentialing process is not completed as expected. Ensures that the medical staff coordinators and credentialing specialists meet start date deadlines. 20 In the absence of the Director, responds to non-routine queries and complaints, and provides appropriate documentation to medical staff committee members, risk management, legal cousel, senior leadership and external agencies. 15 Educates/trains new department personnel on the credentialing database and provides continuing education to current department personnel on programing changes and updates to the credentialing database. Develops new processes for credentialing physicians and advanced practice professionals. 10 MANAGES THE PROVIDER INFORMATION DATA Client BY SERVING as THE Database Administrator by performing programming functions needed to support the database, by setting up users with appropriate permissions and passwords, bringing the system back up when it goes down, managing upgrades and changes to the system and installing additional modules to the database. Works with various entities or departments to ensure information is complete and up to date. OVERSEES all providers’ credentialing information including data tables that populate provider credentialing information. 15 USES INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INCLUDING CRYSTAL REPORT WRITER TO manage and generate regular and ad-hoc credentialing and statistical reports IN VARIOUS FORMATS INCLUDING EXCEL AND CSV THAT ARE USED FOR GENERATING HOSPITAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT. Assures correctness and integrity of reports distributed to the UF HEALTH system and hospital planning departments, managed care plans, provider service network affiliates AND OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS are correct, including information to be printed in directories. 15 Maintaining regulatory and accreditation knowledge to assit in monitoring of regulatory compliance within Medical Staff Services. This includes providing guidance on accreditiation, regulatory issues, best practices, meeting outcomes and resolution, and medical staff policies and bylaws. 10 Assists in managing the flow of information between the Medical Staff Services Department, Credentials and MEC Committee members, Medical Staff leadership (including the Service, Department and Division Chiefs) and the Chief Medical Officer. 10 Initiates and manages performance improvement projects for the Medical Staff department. 5
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or other related field
Ten (10) + years relevant experience and NAMSS certification (CPCS or CPMSM) may be accepted in lieu of a degree

Required Licensure/Certifications:
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) OR Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services within two years of date of hire or transfer into position.
