Job Title: Quality Assurance AssociateReports to: Quality Assurance ManagerJob Description: The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for conducting internal quality controls to ensure established quality procedures and norms are followed in Distribution/Crossdock centers.Primary Responsibilities:Conducts inbound quality product audits using random sampling methods and acceptable quality levelsAssess shipments for labeling, packaging, general appearance, and construction qualityCreates and distributes inbound quality assurance reports and photo documentation to the merchandising teams and vendorsCoordinates with merchandising teams and warehouse staff on corrective action plans associated with failed inbound inspections which may include:Returning merchandise to the vendorCorrecting the product internally or through an outside third-party company to first quality statusCommunicates product characteristics, product issues, and inbound inspection results for new or existing products with delivery teams and DC / Crossdock furniture techniciansSupports DC / Crossdock furniture technicians to determine product characteristics vs.
quality issuesCoordinates special projects and other activities at the request of warehouse managementMaintains cleanliness and order of work areasRotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the businessParticipates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the positionPerforms all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goalsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficient at typing and basic computer operationAdvanced English Language proficiencyGood communication skills both verbal and writtenHigh attention to detailPossess a complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the positionMaintains an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines as outlined in the Company Code of Conduct and Associate Policy manualsExperience Required:A minimum of 2 years of related experienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Associate’s Degree, professional certification(s), or license preferredPhysical and Visual Activities**On a daily basis, must be able to constantly have visual acuity near and far, stand, operate computers/POS/office equipment, move around the facility and communicate.
Ability to frequently handle paperwork and/or remain stationary.
May occasionally lift, carry, reach, kneel, crawl, push/pull, climb, balance, bend, crouch, twist or have foot controls for operating equipment.Physical Demands**Movement of product, supplies and/or boxes to and from all levels of the store and stockroom.
Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 lbs to a height of 3-4 feet; heavier product with team assist.
