This is a major growth opportunity to build out, operationalize this new function, and expand the team.
This role actively assists the Proposal Manager with leading a broad range of stakeholders through the full spectrum of proposal activities from pre-proposal preparation to submitting winning proposals.The ideal candidate drives the production of complex proactive proposals submitted to the Complex Proposal Desk by local market Sales teams and National Accounts, including ownership of proposal packaging and assisting with coordination of proposal team resources, timelines, and approvals.
They play a critical role in helping Cox Business increase the quality and win rate of complex proposals by curating and socializing best in class proposal assets and solution architectures.Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions may include:Leads the packaging of complex proposals for presentation to customers including incorporating relevant pricing data, need statements, solution description(s), benefit statements, and specific language, product, or operational details, etc.

Proposals will be delivered in a concise, error-free, and professional manner, consistent with brand standards, to support the sales strategy for the opportunity.Manipulates data/spreadsheets in order to analyze opportunitiesWrites and edits complex proposals and coordinates technical sections with appropriate boundary partners for clarity, consistency, and enhancement of win themes.
Responsible for professional formatting of proposals, including graphicsContributes to the development of graphical proposal matterIdentifies, curates, and promotes best practice proposal assets and templates, including language standardization, repeatable/scalable solutioning and packaging to continuously improve the overall quality of Cox Business proposalsSocializes best practice assets with Sales leadership, National Accounts, Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product, Training, and Change Management teamsDirects Senior Sales Leadership, local Sellers, and local Sales Engineers to appropriate best practice proposal assets to close complex sales with aggressive customer deadlinesAssists with project management of stakeholder coordination, across Cox Business, for proactive proposal development including Legal, Risk & Security, Technology, Product, Sales Engineering, Pricing, and other boundary partnersMay assist with coordinating reviews from regulatory/legal/government affairs and any other boundary partners as needed for appropriate solutionsDevelops metrics that track outcomes and levels of effortInformation and knowledge transfer for appropriate post-award stewardship to ensure a successful transition from the Desk to Project Management for execution Qualifications:Required Skills and QualificationsWhere permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S.-based job.
