We currently are hiring for printer helpers in Plattsburgh, NY!$125 weekly attendance bonusWeekly Pay $17-$18/hr based on experience12 Hour rotating shifts: 8:00 8:00AM and PM shifts Available.A Printing Helper assists in the running of the department as needed and directed by the Lead Operator.

The Printing Helper is generally assigned to work with a specific press operator and assists with the necessary duties with regard to the set-up and running of the press.

These duties are performed in a timely manner to maintain product run rate and quality while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assists with press set-ups as directedMeasures, checks & maintains ink viscosity(zahn cup measurement)Caps & uncaps cylindersRemoves & installs cylinders using the hoistWeighs scrap & report accurate numbersUnderstands job cards as writtenStages needed material to back of machine for current jobStages required materials for the next job using the job cardLabels return inks properlyStraps skids according to the job cardIdentifies bad cam followersMakes splices & changes dolliesReads the production scheduleAssists as required when a press line goes downReports any & all issues to the Lead OperatorMaintains a clean & safe work area; clean press area & floor sweptAdheres to and complies with all Company safety policies & proceduresAdheres to and complies with all Company and department scrap control proceduresAdheres to and complies with all Company quality control proceduresAssists the management team in maintaining quality system effectivenessPerforms scrap sort and/or rework as requiredPerforms all other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Requires good written and verbal communication skillsRequires the ability to perform simple arithmetic functions consistently and accuratelyRequires the ability to solve practical problems and be self-directed within the framework of the essential duties and responsibilities.Requires the ability to know when to ask for assistance when a problem arises that will affect the department performance and product qualityAbility to work varied shifts depending on organizational requirements and customer commitmentsClear understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the role they play in our day to day operationsBe familiar with Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) when requiredCorTech Cares: *Pay Options: Direct Deposit, Paper Checks or pay cards; paid weekly *Health/Dental/Vision Insurance options compliant with the ACA *401k *Online Employee Portal to adjust withholdings and view and print pay stubs We look forward to working with you; CorTech Cares!
