Corporate HR Program & Compliance Specialist
We are currently seeking a Corporate HR Program & Compliance Specialist to join our team.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting Employee Relations (“ER”) compliance initiatives and Corporate HR programs through a continuous improvement approach to scoping projects, connecting impacts to various stakeholders, partnering with internal departments and key stakeholders such as Service Operations, Health & Welfare, Finance and Legal to achieve program results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under limited supervision and much decision-making:
- Manages the employee reward and recognition initiatives including the Company’s MVP, Service Awards, Retirement programs, and Department level recognition. Activities include recommending and managing budget, invoice processing, coordination with vendors and employees/leaders. Performs analysis, conducts research, and makes recommendations to enhance, modify, and continuously improve programs.
- Manages HR compliance requirements of a consistently changing landscape of federal, state, county, local laws. Coordinates across departments such as Payroll, Recruiting and Service Operations in accordance with these changes. Establishes a system to ensure that required postings and notices are completed on an annual basis.
- Monitors new hires and internal moves to determine if an employee is in a location that requires state mandated paid sick time (separate from PTO) for part-time and seasonal employees.
- Stays up to date on labor and employment law changes. Subscribes to relevant legal blogs, newsletters, publications of HR related associations, and conducts research. Consults with key departments including Legal and the HR COE to ensure compliance related policies are current and applied consistently.
- Manages and supports ER/Compliance related projects or initiatives. In consultation with Department leadership, develops and implements policy, workflows, communications, resources, and follow-up activities to support compliance with statutory requirements or projects and ensures project is complete (includes communication, setting up processes, and post project follow up). Navigates cross-functional teams and organizes priorities.
- Coordinates compliance, and Company/employee support with medical exigency or disaster related activities affecting the employee population including updating Company online publications and guidelines, reviewing federal/state/local guidelines and coordinating with core project team. Monitors and analyzes employee reports and creates, updates and provides reports to CHR Leadership.
- Supports the Genesys Works Intern Program and oversees lifecycle of the intern program. Works with relevant Department leadership to review and evaluate curriculum, make recommendations for improvements and enhancements including development of Company-related activities. Coordinates and facilitates commitment from Department leaders and ensures statement of work is routed through the applicable SVP and Legal annually. Coordinates with Genesys Works, Recruiting, CHR Ops, and Department leaders to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Manages Exit Interview Program including overseeing and/or sending out exit interviews to departing employees, runs monthly reports and shares with ER team/CHR Leadership. Analyzes data for trends and concerns and ensures appropriate follow up from ER team.
- Acts as point of contact for Legal (Paralegal) to ensure collection of applicable documents and data from CHR teams (Ops, Comp, ER) in response to subpoenas.
- Navigates dependencies between cross-functional teams related to CHR functions and organization priorities. Effectively influences and proactively coordinates communication of plan progress with regular status updates to CHR leadership, business leaders and project team members.
- Provides a consistent, exemplary internal experience across the organization with a results-driven approach and balanced emphasis on culture development, communication planning, change management and informed decision making.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or a combination of education and experience is required.
- Three to five years in Human Resources, program management, project management or combination is required.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.

- Ability to independently plan, organize, schedule, coordinate and make decisions and judgments relating to assigned projects and other responsibilities and the ability to analyze, interpret, review and edit information consistent with operational standards.
