The purpose of this role is to review, negotiate, revise, administer vendors contracts and provide legal and contracts support to Procurement team.
In this role, you will write and review contracts from many angles at once and draft them in clean, precise and direct language.
You will work on a wide variety of procurement contracts including master services agreements, SaaS agreements, license agreements, confidentiality agreements, marketing agreements, and other general business contracts.
You will need to be a self-starter and is passionate about problem solving while showing great attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Negotiating, writing, reviewing, summarizing, researching and executing a wide variety of vendor and procurement agreements including master services agreements, purchase agreements, license agreements, confidentiality agreements, marketing agreements, and other general business contracts
• Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafts, modifications, amendments and renewals
• Triage unusual contract requests and appropriately escalate to your Manager
• Create and update policies and procedures to improve the vendor contract process within Indeed
• Act as the point of contact for contract management and advise management of contractual rights and obligations as well as legal risks and business terms of various deals
• Remain up-to-date on legal/regulatory updates affecting contracts
Who You Are
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• J.D. degree and member in good standing of any U.S.
bar
• 3+ years legal experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience with contract reviews
• Good understanding of corporate law
• Prefer subject matter expertise with data protection and privacy laws
• Flexible, well-organized and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability and desire to work independently and with little oversight is important
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to provide samples of work
