Description
SAIC is looking for a CUI Specialist to join our team to support an important US government agency in the National Capital Region.
The CUI Specialist will develop, oversee, execute and maintain the agency’s CUI program.
This position is able to be worked remotely.
REQUIREMENTS:
Create and maintain CUI policies, processes, and procedures.
Develop a CUI security management education, training, and awareness program.
Track training completion for onboarding and bi-annual training utilizing eLearning portal.
Prepare CUI briefing materials for the CUI Senior Agency Official as needed.
Conduct CUI self-assessment and provides the results to the CUI Senior Agency Official.
Periodic reviews of the CUI policies, processes, and procedures to ensure they are current and CUI support functions follow those established CUI procedures.
Monitor and respond to messages within the agency CUI mailbox.
Complete the NARA assessment and submits the agency report on behalf of the CUI Senior Agency Official.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the classification of information.
Ensures Agency staff follow established security policies and procedures to classify information.
Manage the inventory of controlled unclassified information.
Oversee and coordinate the appropriate labeling of CUI documents, perform routine inspections and incident response.
Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to resolve any issues.
Support the PM by providing information for status reports, status briefings, schedules, project plans, etc., both in written and oral form.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of IT/cyber/security experience in roles with progressive responsibilities.
Must have at least 3 years of overall experience supporting data security or records management.
Must have at least 2 years of supporting CUI program.
One or more current Security certifications (such as Security+, CISSP).

Capacity to gain a thorough knowledge of the relevant specialty area.
Willing to continuously update personal IT skills and knowledge.
Comfortable collaborating and communicating with agile teams and clients.
A solid understanding of Data Security and Data classifications.
Working knowledge of current government mandated cybersecurity policies and procedures.
