Contact Lenses Associate

The Contact Lens associate will focus on managing all contact lens categories of business for AEG’s Practices.

In addition, they will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition of contacts for acquired practices as those join the organization.

The Contact Lens associate and will assist Sr.

Manager in Lens and Contact in developing and maintain systems and process for AEG’s contact lens merchandise assortment plans to ensure that the right product is available to the right stores at the right time of the year.

This individual will partner with the Sr.

Manager Lens and Contacts to work with suppliers regarding product, cost of goods, rebates, pricing, training, and payment terms.

This position partners with Finance and Accounting as well as the Technology team at ABB Optical and AEG to ensure accurate data flow for calculation of Cost of Goods Sold and Gross Margin.

Duties & Responsibilities Manage contact lens categories of the organization to ensure the correct assortment for contacts are in place to grow sales and overall profitability.

Support in building the contact lens pricing model for the respective division/segment.

Work with the Operations team to ensure the correct communication and training is delivered to the field.

Review order management systems and work with individual practices to maintain flow of contact lens orders.

Support new acquisitions in contact lens assortments and work with the Finance team to place these practices into the appropriate pricing tier to ensure increased profitability for the organization.

Work with IT to build contact lenses in the POS system; responsible for set up and management of soft and specialty contact lenses and pricing in the system (cost and retail) Maintain awareness of the overall contact lens category (internally and externally) to confirm AEG’s competitive position from a pricing and technology standpoint Collaborate with doctors and vendors to ensure AEG’s contact lens formulary meets patient and doctor needs
