Summary The AARP Kentucky State Office is seeking a paid intern to support our Livable Communities and community outreach work in Louisville, Kentucky.
The anticipated duration of this paid internship will be June, 2020 through December, 2020.
Responsibilities The intern will : Assist with the coordination and implementation of community outreach efforts associated with Age-Friendly Louisville and other events Event and project management with excellent organizational skills Assist with the development of a volunteer onboarding monitoring system for the Louisville Community Team Interact with diverse groups of individuals with varied backgrounds and goals (volunteers, community leaders, partner organizations and vendors) Serve as a representative of AARP at community sponsored activities Create/manage relationships, at various levels, with volunteers, elected officials and organizations Requirements Prospective intern must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post doctorate students.
AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers.
This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
