Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Commercialization Engineer to bring electro-mechanical devices to market.
This role combines engineering and project leadership.
As an engineer, you will ensure device designs are reliable and manufacturable.
As a project leader, you will plan and coordinate coworkers and suppliers to manufacture devices according to schedule and specification.

This position is located at our Neenah Technical Center® in Neenah, WI.
Our Neenah Technical Center® is the central site for research, development, and lab services for Georgia-Pacific North American Consumer Products division.
The research and development areas include electro-mechanical devices, commercial and retail towels, tissues, and napkins, and Dixie® products and process development.

What You Will Do In Your Role
Lead DFMA and FMEAs with design engineers and suppliers
Ensure device designs meet high standards for reliability and durability
Plan a schedule and drive steps to approve suppliers to manufacture device on time and within specification
Validate parts and assemblies, which includes coordinating metrology, resolving non-conformances, and approving PPAPs
Propose and implement Quality principles and practices that elevate the effectiveness of the Commercialization Team
Troubleshoot root causes of systemic device problems in the marketplace
Work with a variety of manufacturing processes including injection molding, stamping, and inline testing for electromechanical devices
Collaborate with Business, Sourcing, Customer Service, and Sales teams to implement process improvements
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering discipline
Three (3) or more years’ experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or quality role
Able to travel up to 20% of the time including occasional international travel
Experience with Microsoft Excel – sorting data, creating tables and graphs; Outlook – scheduling; Word – document creating/editing; and PowerPoint – presentation creating/editing
What Will Put You Ahead
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Seven (7) or more years’ experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or quality role
Experience with AIAG processes (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.)
Experience managing external supplier quality
Experience working with mechanical and electromechanical devices
Experience with injection molding and tooling
Experience with inline testers and end-of-line testers
ASQ Certification(s)
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Experience with quality principles and methods
