Commercial Loan Assistant

SpiritBank is growing and has an opening for Commercial Lending Assistant.

Job description:

This mission critical position is involved in preparing loan documentation for closing SBA, commercial, construction and commercial real estate loans.

Works in tandem with loan officers to request and gather information required for completing commercial loan applications.

Performs ongoing loan monitoring and provides extensive customer contact via phone, email and in person.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Obtains information related to the commercial loan process including: ordering appraisals, environmental reports, credit reports, title commitments, flood certifications, processing draw requests, reviewing of loan documents prior to closing to ensure all approval conditions and requirements are accurate and complete, ensure that all regulatory and bank policies are followed.

Provides clerical support to assigned lending staff.

Creates and maintains credit and collateral files.

Prepares loan disbursement entries for loan closings, and loan bookings.

Works to clear loan exceptions.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience working with BSA, or Commercial Construction Loans

Ability to build rapport with customers

Familiarity with financial lending practices

Strong analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills / Experience

2+ years’ experience in a commercial lending environment

Knowledge of various banking-related software platforms
