Job Description:
The UW is responsible for underwriting and structuring of credit
transactions. The UW is able to underwrite credit transactions with
minimal oversight from the CO and also approves complex credit
transactions with some coaching from the CO/CCM. The UW leads the
credit approval process with assistance from the CCM as needed for
clients without CO coverage and is an active participant with the CO in
credit approval process for complex clients/transactions. UWs may call on
credit clients and prospects in partnership or independently with the RM
and/or CO as appropriate. Provides ongoing management and primary
accountability for a portion of the monitoring and maintenance activities
on an assigned portfolio or market, including a higher composition of
complex client relationships. They monitor clients operating performance
and financial condition to proactively identify issues and opportunities.
They deliver financial, industry, economic and other analysis to facilitate
decision making, while also ensuring adherence to credit policies,
guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. The UW’s provide
ongoing coaching and support to other Credit Products team members.
They report to the Commercial Credit Manager (CCM) and partner
closely with COs. General qualifications include: a BS/BA degree, 5+
years of solid experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting
and portfolio management, strong communication and analytical/technical
skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
